STATEMENT *english below

Mi obra y búsqueda tienen que ver con el hacer, con el trabajo, la exploración de recursos y el oficio. De tal modo, incluso en la temática de mis pinturas y esculturas (u otros soportes) aparecen reiteradamente los trabajadores. Asimismo, hay una búsqueda intrínseca del origen, cultural y social, de todas estas manifestaciones. Mi obra intenta resaltar los valores de la acción colectiva, que en estos tiempos modernos se ha volcado al individualismo en casi todos los ambitos, y va en detrimento de los grandes logros alcanzados por el trabajo en equipo. En la aparición figurativa o pictórica, el trabajador de pico y pala también representa al ser humano activo, pujante y no solo al que tiene que ver con la construcción, ya que funciona como metáfora del hacer en si mismo, en el area que sea.Desde la paleta de recursos como artista, suelo combinar técnicas muy variadas. Tengo enorme admiración por la pintura clásica y gran proximidad con la cultura digital y los nuevos medios.Confío en la relación entre ambas corrientes de producción, ya que en esta era bisagra no podemos olvidar que todo lo que conocemos y nos trajos hasta aqui fue realizado con las manos de hombres y mujeres que forjaran la historia y el arte, pero también, las nuevas herramientas tecnológicas, siempre que puestas en función de una idea, permiten y amplian el espectro creativo de maneras impensadas algunas decadas atrás. En definitiva, la conjunción entre pasado presente y futuro es lo que tambien atraviesa mi cuerpo de obra, donde hay casi una búsqueda antropológica dentro de mi propio proceso creativo.  

My work and search are related to doing, to work, to exploration of resources, and to craftsmanship. In this way, even in the subject matter of my paintings and sculptures (or other mediums), workers frequently appear. Likewise, there is an intrinsic search for the cultural and social origin of all these manifestations. My work seeks to highlight the values of collective action, which in these modern times have shifted towards individualism in almost all areas, to the detriment of the great achievements attained through teamwork. In the figurative or pictorial appearance, the worker with a pickaxe and shovel also represents the active, vigorous human being, not only in relation to construction, but also as a metaphor for the act of doing itself, in any field. As an artist, I often combine various techniques from my palette of resources. I have great admiration for classical painting and a strong connection to digital culture and new media. I trust in the relationship between these two production streams because in this pivotal era, we cannot forget that everything we know and have brought to this point was created by the hands of men and women who shaped history and art. However, the new technological tools, when used in service of an idea, also allow and expand the creative spectrum in ways unimaginable a few decades ago. Ultimately, the intersection of the past, present, and future is also a fundamental aspect surrealism, and the variability of expressive resources is evident.
